How the score is calculated
In 101 Okey points are penalty points; the lowest total at the end of the match wins. All four players are scored at the end of every hand.
| Finish | Finisher | Not opened | Opened melds | Opened pairs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | −101 | 202 | remaining sum | remaining × 2 |
| With an Okey or with pairs | −202 | 404 | remaining × 2 | remaining × 4 |
| Pairs + Okey | −404 | 808 | remaining × 4 | remaining × 8 |
| Straight out | −202 | 404 | 404 | 404 |
| Straight out + Okey | −404 | 808 | 808 | 808 |
| Draw pile empty | — | 202 | remaining sum | remaining × 2 |
- An Okey left in hand costs 101 at a penalty table; it is added to the remaining sum and is not multiplied.
- In-hand penalties (penalty table): discarding an Okey, discarding a playable tile, taking back your melds, and having an Okey you added taken; 101 each.
- Rising and Challenge: a first opening of 150 or more in melds or 7 or more pairs earns −101; 180 or more, or 9 or more pairs, earns −202.
- Challenge: if an opponent takes and uses your discard you pay tile × 10 (× 20 in a pair), Okey × 20 (× 40 in a pair). A player who declared Going Pairs and never opened pays double.
- Partners table: the finisher's partner writes nothing; the team score is the sum of both players.
- 51: scored like Classic; no big opening bonus and no Challenge penalty.

Example hand
The calculator's starting values show this example. Classic, individual, penalty table; Player 1 finished by discarding their last tile.
- Player 1 finished: −101.
- Player 2 never opened: 202.
- Player 3 had opened melds and was left with 34 points of tiles: 34.
- Player 4 had opened pairs; 12 points of tiles and one Okey were left, and they discarded a playable tile once during the hand: 12 × 2 + 101 + 101 = 226.
Had Player 1 finished the same hand with an Okey: finisher −202, not opened 404, Player 3 68, Player 4 12 × 4 + 101 + 101 = 250.
